jade's visit, garden time and a really cute apron

mish and mark came over last week and we threw our refridgerator leftovers together to create this delicious udon salad. it was scrumptious. you can find the recipe here. oh, and mish actually took these pics (with my non-professional camera). you can see her beautiful photography here.

jade showed up at my house with her two lovely children. we were totally surprised (with joy) and had a really nice time catching up with her. Isa is 2 and salvador is 6 weeks. me holding salvador in the baby bjorn...no, didn't have another baby!

jade took this and i thought i would add it, considering photos of me are few and far between.

i walked into the living room one morning and e was watching the tv way up close. he was completely entranced. it was pretty funny.

pippa requested this dress (thanks bee and papi) to perform in the VBS kids choir at church on sunday morning (which she apparently didn't sing in...just sat in front of the church on the step). she wanted her picture taken next to the carrots

then she walked around the yard picking flowers in her favorite colors and told me she was going to carry them when she sang.

we have some purple snow peas. chris is convinced they're poisonous, so he won't let anyone eat them until he has proof otherwise. they are cool looking though!

emmett ran out the door (literally) with one sock on and one sock off.

then found a stick 5 times his size that he wanted to carry around.

chubby legs and all i made this reversible apron for my friend sarah for her bday. i almost kept it...a disease i have when i make things for other people. i LOVE it.
